Tour de Temples Charity Cycle Ride
During the morning of Sunday 8 May, Midsomer Norton Freemasons Lodges hosted the fourteen riders of the Somerset Masonic Cycle Association on their four day circuit of all the Masonic Halls in the Province of Somerset. Starting from Frome at eight o’clock where they stayed overnight, they arrived an hour and a half later for a refreshment stop under our gazebo, it’s first official use since purchased just before the pandemic brought everything to a halt.
Before departing on their next leg to Wells, for the three Somerset charities they were supporting, the riders received donations totalling £250 from the Connaught and Kenneth Kinnersley Lodges.
Having worked their way across the Somerset Levels to Bridgwater for another overnight stop, on the Monday morning they started their final day of sixty five miles to the Bath Masonic Hall their final destination. During the four days the riders covered 264 miles and raised more than £10,000.
