P.E.O.P.L.E.

P.E.O.P.L.E. is a well-established charity whose remit is the rehabilitation of offenders. It has a shop and coffee lounge in Midsomer Norton High Street as a safe place for individuals and groups to meet for refreshments, book exchanges or counselling services, as well as offering work experience to local school and college pupils. It also has residential accommodation in Westfield for carefully selected ex-prisoners.

CEO Dr Jenny Clifford and Shop Manager/Care Worker Tymon Emery were guests at the Christmas function where they received a cheque for £250 from the Lodge, along with a further £30 donated by two Brethren. This was augmented by a further £150 raised from an auction of two Christmas Hampers, the contents of which had been provided by the Brethren.

Under the guidance of Charity Steward W. Bro Chris James, this brought the total amount donated this year to local good causes and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to £3,380.
